Mike Bawden

Mike Bawden is a writer and marketer living in the midwest (Iowa). He’s also a life-long Star Trek fan – although he freely admits that his favorite “character” from Star Trek was Gene Roddenberry’s very capable, acerbic and shrewd right-hand, Bob Justman.

Mike has a degree in TV/Radio and Film production from Southern Methodist University (1984), worked in Hollywood for a production company and eventually returned home to Iowa to work in his family’s advertising agency (which he eventually bought).  He is currently a partner in a public relations firm handling a variety of clients ranging from media and technology to food and healthcare.

More recently, Mike has been involved with a number of different sci-fi and horror projects (films, digital content and comics) as a marketing and business consultant. He’s also writing a series of stories which (he hopes) will eventually be produced as pulp novels of action and adventure set in Dave Dorman’s Wasted Lands.
